Librarians opening title 2-4The Librarians and the Cost of Education – Director: Courtney Rowe/Writer: Kate Rorick

This one starts with a victory party at Wexler University. The mascot (an otter) is very excited and heads over to Omega Theta House for a frat party, but a dimensional rift opens and a giant tentacle emerges and drags him through. Librarians opening title 2-2The Librarians and the Broken Staff – Director: Marc Roskin/Writers: Alexa Alemanni, Joe Boothe, Holly Moyer

This one continues from last episode, with everyone gathering in the Annex after dissipating the storm. Flynn is still bothered that Eve didn’t let him go charging after Prospero, but she reminds him it’s better to stick with a plan. Flynn isn’t thrilled about having to share Eve with the other Librarians, since he’s gotten to enjoy their alone time. Elsewhere, Prospero manifests in a library through a copy of the Tempest. Librarians opening title 2-1The Librarians and the Drowned Book – Director: Marc Roskin/Writers: John Rogers, Paul Guyot

This one starts nine months ago, when magic was brought back to the world with King Arthur’s sword. While the Librarians were trying to stop Dulaque and Lamia, someone else was taking advantage of the newly awakened magic to bring a character from the pages of a book into the real world. The book is Sherlock Holmes, so I guess we’re supposed to assume it’s him, but it could just as easily be Moriarty or even Watson (especially since the guy doing the conjuring says he has need of the new character’s genius). The Librarians Season 1 Overview

Librarians TitleWell, that’s it for Season 1 of The Librarians. The show’s as good as I remembered (or maybe even better), but I’ve always loved that secret history kind of stuff that the show does so well. Continue reading “The Librarians Season 1 Overview”

Eve wakes up again in an Egyptian tomb where Jacob, Cassandra, and Ezekiel are fighting mummies and trying to open a sarcophagus. Flynn shows up just in time to help defeat the mummies and tells them the sarcophagus might hold the key to bringing back the Library. Continue reading “The Librarians Reviews: Season 1, Episode 10”

Librarians opening title 1-4The Librarians and Santa’s Midnight Run – Director: Jonathan Frakes/Writers: Paul Guyot, John Rogers

This one starts at a soup kitchen in England just before Christmas. A guy comes in to rob the place, but the guy ladling out the soup (played by Bruce Campbell) talks him down, appealing to his better nature almost as if he can read the guy’s mind. (Considering the episode title, I think we can guess who he is.) Unfortunately, Santa gets hit by a mistletoe dart fired by a mysterious woman and passes out.
