This one starts with Eve, Jacob, and Ezekiel waking up in a weird cave soaking wet and with no memory of how they got there, or why Cassandra is missing. (Although Ezekiel is sure he remembers pizza, so that’s something at least.) Their phones are fried and they meet a cleaning woman (Nina) who seems just as confused as they are. But when one villager gets too greedy and tries to steal the Devourer’s sword, he’s hit by lightning and the Devourer is reborn in his body, still craving revenge against Conan and Kaleb, but wary of whatever power Solaise is hiding.
