This one starts with Xena confronting a warlord named Daxon, but instead of kicking his ass, she throws down her weapons and implores him to embrace the way of peace and love. If you’re thinking this isn’t the real Xena, you’re right; aside from the peacenik stuff, she speaks with a different accent and a slight lisp. This one starts with Xena bringing a bandit to prison and interrogating him to find out where his leader went. She finds Joxer in the prison (for stealing a chicken) and gets him out. Meanwhile, two guys break into a warlord’s place to steal his sword, but end up setting off a trap. When the warlord shows up, one guy kills him. The other guy (who turns out to be Autolycus, King of Thieves) isn’t too happy about his partner killing someone in cold blood. This one starts with Gabi pleading for Ming Tien to release Xena (which he apparently promised to do when Gabi warned him about her assassination attempt), but he won’t even let Gabi see Xena. While Xena and Gabi are out in the woods, Gabi is restless (probably feeling guilty for lying about Hope last episode). A half-dead Chinese guy shows up, followed by a bunch of ninja types. Xena pounds the ninjas and the guy gives her a raven-shaped hairpin and a message that the Green Dragon has become large and must be made small. This one starts with a new warlord named Agathon taking out a bunch of Athenian troops with weapons that can cut through their armour like butter, and armour that conventional weapons can’t pierce. Turns out Agathon is a protégé of Ares, who gave him the indestructible weapons and armour. Elsewhere, Xena and Gabi rescue a guy named Walsam, who’s about to be executed. This one starts with Xena and Gabi waking up to a rooster’s crow. They’re sleeping in a stable and Joxer comes in with goose eggs for breakfast. After accidentally dropping a horseshoe on Joxer’s head, the stablehand informs them there are two factions in town (Menos and Lykos) who hate each other and have been on the edge of open warfare for years. This one starts with the Furies doing a sexy dance for Ares, but he’s not really into it; he has a grievance against Xena and gets the Furies to punish her with both persecution and madness. Meanwhile, Xena and Gabi are having a race (Xena wins) when they’re beset by bandits.
