Episode 20: M.A.D.

This one starts with Veronica’s crappy car broken down in the school parking lot. Logan and a couple of his asshole friends come by and when his friends start talking crap about Veronica, Logan’s ready to defend her. But she and Logan agreed to keep their relationship a secret until they can figure things out, so Veronica makes fun of herself as she fixes her car to stop Logan from giving them away. Episode 19: Hot Dogs

This one starts with Veronica at the office helping Weevil with his math. Weevil asks about Duncan suddenly taking off (with $10,000 in cash) and about the rumours Veronica accused him of killing his sister, Lilly. Veronica denies that, but it’s obvious she thinks there’s more to Lilly’s murder than everyone believes. They’re interrupted by Veronica’s dad coming in. Episode 18: Weapons of Class Destruction

This one starts with Veronica and Leo making out on her doorstep. Leo’s pretty brazen about wanting to come in for some hot sex, but Veronica puts him off by saying her dad’s home. I’m assuming she hasn’t told Leo about being drugged and raped last year. When she goes in, Keith is waiting up for her (while pretending not to, as fathers do). He’s acting a little weird and Veronica wonders if he’s got a problem with her and Leo, but it turns out Keith has been seeing someone too and wants to clue Veronica in, since he’s started to have real feelings for this woman. Episode 17: Kanes and Abels

Last episode, Veronica found out Abel Koontz has a daughter (Amelia DeLongpre), which explains why he took the fall for Lilly’s murder. The Kanes’ payoff wouldn’t mean much to Koontz (who’s dying of cancer), but if the money went to his estranged daughter, that would give him incentive to take the blame for something he didn’t do. Unfortunately, Jake Kane’s security chief (Clarence Wiedman) knows Veronica’s onto his shenanigans, so she has to find Amelia before Wiedman does. Episode 16: Betty and Veronica

At the end of last episode, Veronica tracked her mother to a diner in Barstow but got a shock when she spotted Clarence Wiedman (whose threats were the reason Lianne left her family in the first place) in the diner too. Episode 15: Ruskie Business

Last episode, Logan hired Veronica to find out if his mom was really dead, or if she faked her suicide to get away from all the craziness in their lives. Episode 14: Mars vs. Mars

This one starts right where last episode left off, with Logan asking Veronica to find his mother, who he’s sure faked her death. Veronica points out that some woman has been giving TV interviews saying she saw Lynn jump off the bridge, but Logan says just because someone spews some crap on TV it doesn’t mean it’s true. Episode 13: Lord of the Bling

This one starts at the mansion of rich record producer Percy “Bone” Hamilton (played by Anthony Anderson), who’s complaining to his wife (Vanessa) about their kids. Their son Bryce is too much of a wimp and an intellectual for Bone to respect him, and their daughter Yolanda is constantly wasting money on riding lessons and nightclub jaunts. Episode 11: Silence of the Lamb

This one starts with Keith showing Veronica an article in the paper about the E-String Strangler, a serial killer who strangles women with a guitar string. The Strangler had been around Neptune a couple years ago when Keith was still Sheriff and everyone thought he’d been caught committing similar crimes up in Oakland.
