This one starts with Conan and Fafnir sneaking into a temple to loot some precious objects. Apparently the temple priests worship some sort of dragon-god and have been extorting and terrorizing the local populace, making them fair game for looters … at least as far as Conan is concerned. (Conan grabbed a mirror that’s missing a jewel in the handle and when the priests find the temple looted, they’re very relieved that the gem—a big diamond—is still safe in its hiding place under a golden dragon idol.) This one continues from last issue, with Firefly about to attack Snake Eyes with a bunch of red ninjas in the deadly scorpion configuration. Snake Eyes attacks the ninjas, disrupting the formation and forcing Firefly to retreat. This one starts with Eve waking up … somewhere. She’s kinda out of it and has blood on her hand that appears to be her own blood. Instead of freaking out, she just smiles as she closes her eyes. Eve wakes up again in an Egyptian tomb where Jacob, Cassandra, and Ezekiel are fighting mummies and trying to open a sarcophagus. This one starts with Conan and his Vanirman friend Fafnir riding into a village in the Border Kingdoms. They see a young woman about to be burnt at the stake and Fafnir jumps in to save her. He and Conan ride away with the girl (Krylxxa), who assures them the villagers’ accusations about her being a witch aren’t true. This one starts with Conan in a gladiator pit wrestling a brute named Tonzhog. Apparently, Conan found himself without a horse and any money to buy a new one, so he figured he’d win a bit of coin fighting. The spectators aren’t expecting him to win, but of course he does. They pay him and as he’s leaving one of the spectators, a beautiful woman named Marielle, pretends to twist her ankle just as he walks by.
