The Librarians and Santa’s Midnight Run – Director: Jonathan Frakes/Writers: Paul Guyot, John Rogers

This one starts at a soup kitchen in England just before Christmas. A guy comes in to rob the place, but the guy ladling out the soup (played by Bruce Campbell) talks him down, appealing to his better nature almost as if he can read the guy’s mind. (Considering the episode title, I think we can guess who he is.) Unfortunately, Santa gets hit by a mistletoe dart fired by a mysterious woman and passes out. The Librarians and the Fables of Doom – Director: Jonathan Frakes/Writer: Kate Rorick

If you’re wondering why Episode 6 is here instead of Episode 4, it’s because I’m mostly following the production order instead of the airing order for the episodes. I think it works better for the overall season arc and especially for the development of the characters and their relationships to each other. This one starts with three vehicles crossing a bridge. This one starts with a guy running through the halls of an office building, being chased by … something. He begs a couple of robed figures for help but they just watch as he’s dragged off to his death. The Librarians and the Sword in the Stone – Director: Dean Devlin/Writer: John Rogers

This one continues right where last episode left off, with a couple of thugs about to finish off Flynn (who’s already bleeding from the wound Lamia gave him with Excalibur). Eve takes the two thugs out and Flynn drinks some Oil of Bathsheba, which only slows the bleeding from his wound since wounds caused by Excalibur are incurable. Eve, Jacob, and Ezekiel are stunned to hear that Cassandra betrayed them and helped Lamia steal King Arthur’s Crown (and Excalibur).
