Xena Reviews: Season 1, Episode 15

This one opens with Xena arriving at a castle and being taken aback when everyone automatically defers to her. She gets another shock when an assassin jumps her, but she does her fire-breathing trick and he takes off. She meets King Lias (of Treus), who tells her the assassin was after his daughter and he wants Xena to figure out who’s trying to kill her. This one starts with Mirror Master breaking into the Gotham Museum to steal a jade necklace. He soon finds out he’s not the only one interested, as Captain Boomerang snatches the necklace right out of his hand with a trick boomerang. The two of them start arguing over who should get to ravage Gotham and Captain Boomerang reminds his fellow Rogue that Batman won’t like them being on his turf. (Boomerang and Batman fought back in issue 322 and Boomerang wouldn’t mind some revenge on the Caped Crusader.) Comics Reviews: Flash 349, Wonder Woman 327, Green Lantern 192, Warlord 97

Last issue, a revived Professor Zoom (or someone who looks like him) took over the body of juror Nathan Newbury and (after hypnotizing the rest of the jury) delivered the verdict in Flash’s murder trial … guilty. Flash is stunned and allows himself to be handcuffed and taken to prison. His lawyer (Cecile Horton) can hardly process it and refuses to talk to the press. Newbury also brushes off a reporter and speeds away from the courthouse, revealing himself to be Zoom once he’s out of sight.
