Batman #432 – “Dead Letter Office” – James Owsley/Jim Aparo/Mike DeCarlo
This one starts with Batman responding to an alarm tripped in a lawyer’s office. He finds a private Investigator (Maxine Kelly) going through the files. She’s got an attitude and ends up leaving before the cops show up, but Batman’s waiting at her place when she gets back. From examining the files she was looking at, Batman has figured out that Kelly is working on the disappearance of Josh Winston, a kid who was snatched seven years ago. Wonder Woman #28 – “Jungle Sacrament” – George Perez/Chris Marrinan/Will Blyberg
This one starts in England, with the mercenaries who grabbed the captive Khunds last issue showing up at a meeting on Barbara Minerva’s estate. They think it has something to do with the Khund job, but are suspicious enough to bring weapons. Their guns don’t do them much good against Minerva’s alter ego (Cheetah), who stalks and kills them. Green Arrow #16 – “Seattle and Die Part 2” – Mike Grell/Ed Hannigan/Dick Giordano, frank McLaughlin
Last issue, Oliver (Green Arrow) Queen ran into a mysterious assassin and spent the evening drinking with him. Right after Oliver left, some guys arrived and blew up the assassin’s hotel room. Oliver hears the blast and heads back, but the assassin smelled trouble and headed up to the roof just ahead of the explosion. I got the latest chapter of Ron Randall’s Trekker series (Blood in the Wind) and it’s great as usual. As you can see, Gulliver was quite taken with it. He loves action and there’s plenty of it in this installment (along with some romance and intrigue, just to balance things out).
And this Kickstarter gave backers plenty of rewards, like these cool pins and coin,
plus a bookmark, stickers, special prints, and a mini-poster.
Ron’s been so generous with the swag on the last few books, I’m gonna have to build an extra room just to put it all in. But even without the rewards, Trekker is a cool story with great characters and lots of thrills, so check it out. Maybe you’ll catch Trekker fever like I did.

Last issue, Emerald Empress was searching for the secrets of immortality and came to Earth to gather information. She ran afoul of the Legion and ended up taking Polar Boy hostage in the skies above Metropolis, threatening to destroy the city’s powersphere, which would blow the whole city to hell. Kindred Spirits – Director: Josh Becker/Writers: George Strayton, Tom O’Neill
This one starts with some Amazons (the same tribe from last episode, including Cyane, Eris, and Rhea) bathing and discussing how great it is to have Xena, Gabi, and Eve around. This one starts with a flashback (said to be ten years ago) of Bruce Wayne travelling to a monastery in Korea to learn ancient martial arts techniques from a guy named Kirigi. In the present, Batman has been watching a thug named Ralph Stuart for weeks, hoping to get some evidence to put him away. Stuart is supposedly fearless and Batman was looking forward to testing that, but Stuart suddenly turns himself in and confesses to a bunch of crimes. Wonder Woman #27 – “From Day Into Night” – George Perez/Chris Marrinan/Will Blyberg
This one starts with Steve Trevor and Etta Candy visiting Themiscyra with Diana. The Amazons have healed Steve’s injuries (from his fight with the Durlans last issue) and most of them are quite happy to meet the son of their former hero, the first Princess Diana.
