After reading the file, Flash realizes Cecile blames him for her father’s death and is only acting as his defense lawyer out of professional duty (since she took over his case from her law partner after he was injured). Comics Reviews: JLA 236, Tales of the Teen Titans 51, New Teen Titans 6, Tales of the Legion 321, Legion of Super-Heroes 8

Last issue, the JLA were shanghaied out of the sky (they were in their plane headed back to Detroit) to an unknown location, where they were confronted by Overmaster and his brand new team of super-villains, the Cadre. Overmaster is styling himself as a god (even claiming he’s the one who wiped out the dinosaurs ages ago) and wants to test his new flunkies against the JLA. He also speaks in a weird way, using first and third-person at the same time, which gets annoying really fast. Comics Reviews: Batman 381, Detective 548, Batman & the Outsiders 19, Firestorm 33, Vigilante 15

This one opens with the blind girl Tina finding a police officer and telling him about the stolen loot she found buried near her shack on the beach. Tina says she took care of Batman after he was hurt and that he’s the thief. Normally, any cop would know that’s a load of crap, but Anton (Night Slayer) Knight has been masquerading as Batman lately, robbing stores and banks like crazy, so the cop figures anything is possible. As he’s examining the stolen loot, Anton shows up and knocks him out with a Batarang and Tina realizes she trusted the wrong guy.
